We at Don & Vivienne Dates Arabians got our start with our breeding program of the beautiful Straight Spanish Arabian Horses but have since decided to bring in additional Arabian lines focused on perfomance and racing, not ribbons.

We are very excited about our sucesses with trainer Billy Lewis. With Billy's help, we have also recreated our breeding program, adding new brood mares that include: Truely A Tiki, Grand Theft, and Dream Katcher. All in foal for 2007. La Mirada, one of our Straight Spanish Mares, is in foal to our stallion American Spiritt. Spiritt has tremendous CMK racing lines. He is retired to stud due to a mild leg injury. The temptation to race him was out done by our desire not to risk a stallion of such tremendous breeding. We look forward to his wonderful foals while training him in performance dressage.

Midway through 2006 Billy Lewis claimed for us two horses that, under his training, are now two of the fastest in the country. RW Country Angel recently set a world record at the Big Fresno Fair by being the first Arabian horse to drop below the 1 minute 10 second mark for 5 1/2 furlongs. His counter part, Buddy Of Mine has won over 50% of his races since we claimed him, this includes 3 wins in 4 stake races. The most difficult part with both of them is finding horses to run against.

We have a lot more going on with Billy at the track and will be making Buddy Of Mine available for Stud on a limited basis in 2007.
